To celebrate the publication of Country Secrets, which sees my novel Snowy River Man in print for the first time, I recently held a giveaway here on my blog, as well as another on Goodreads (entries closed 31 August). While the Goodreads giveaway attracted over 90 entries, the odds of winning here were somewhat better.

Autumn is a perfect time of year in the Blue Mountains. The sky is blue; it’s warm in the sun and cool in the shade. Perfect for walking through the streets and enjoying the changing leaves.
Yesterday I went with friends to the Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath. As we were parking the car, a young man, one of a small group, called out to us, “If you come across a picnic near the pond, it’s there for a reason.”
